We talk to alot of people in our industry and always try to get their input and opinion about the slump we have been in.  I also watch for indicators such as real estate sales, number of permits being submitted, etc.  No one has a crystal ball so it's anyones guess.  But from all of the information I can gather my guess is we will bottom out sometime after the 2008 election.  Probably well into 2009.  It would be interesting to get everyones thoughts or insight on this issue.  We've had overinflated real estate sales, record levels of new construction, low unemployment, etc.  We were all working so hard to meet the demand did anyone see it coming to this extent?  Most of the builders we work for didn't.  Realtors didn't.  Mortgage Brokers and Lending institutions obvisously didn't see it so who did see it coming?  How long will it last?  Will it ever come back as strong?
